CONTEXT

This first level subject is one of the twelve optative sports available for the Sport Science students.

Tennis I is a subject is taught in the first year of Sport Science Degree, providing basic knowledge to Tennis II and Tennis III that are taught in third and fourth year respectively.

This program aims to develop in students a basic knowledge of tennis: rules of tennis, tennis history, technical and tactical fundamentals of tennis and the skills and expertise of a tennis coach in the initiation level in any context.

PART II. TECHNICAL OF TENNIS IN BEGINNERS LEVEL

4. Introduction to Basic Tactics

PART IV. TECHNIQUE OF BASIC STROKES OF TENNIS

ACTIVITIES

- Classroom presentation of the concepts and methods related to the subject using the lecture-based class (1 ECTS).
- Classroom activities related to monitoring the individual or group activities, practices and projects. Included group dynamics of project and case study methods (1 ECTS).
- Field work (1 ECTS).
- Advisoring (group or individual) y assess (0,5 ECTS).Student self-study (0,5 ECTS).


EVALUATION

EVALUATION:

Continuous assessment by evaluating different theoretical objective evidence where the student must translate the understanding of the content taught by teachers in the different subjects.

Moreover, the tests also assess game control practices and teaching methodological progression of shock. Within this evaluation will be included the development of a cooperative work.


SPECIFIC REGULATIONS

SPECIFIC REGULATIONS:

This subject is tough in Spanish.

Practical sessions of the course will take place in the tennis courts of the University Campus

and will need the following sports equipment: sportswear and tennis racket.

METHODOLOGY:

Teaching methodology will be focus in the student, they will build their learning around the subject. Self-learning will be focus on reflection, researching and problems solutions.
